Building Block 6 - Evolve Your Perceptions

In Building Block 5, we discovered how to make room for more gratitude and abundance in our lives.  Now we are ready to move on to the third step in the Bridging Phase of the Building Blocks of Manifestation.  In this step, we will explore how to evolve our perceptions.  That may sound complicated and even a bit scary, but evolving our perceptions is really all about forgiveness.  Yes, forgiveness, but not necessarily what you may be thinking right now.  We need to change our own perceptions, of a past events or situations, in order to rid ourselves of the burden and toxicity that comes with holding on to that resentment.

You may be wondering if you have any forgiveness work to do in your life.  I can say with complete confidence that if you are breathing, then you have some work to do!  We all have some resentment in our lives that we need to free ourselves of, and forgiveness is a mental, emotional and spiritual practice that will allow us to shift our perceptions and free us, to live the life we have always wanted.

To help illustrate this important step, think of a farmer who plants his seeds in the field to grow crops.  Both the seed and the soil must be healthy in order for the crop to grow.  It’s the same with manifesting the dreams in our lives.  We can’t hold on to resentment and expect that our dreams will flourish and prosper in that toxic environment.  By practicing forgiveness, you will have more energy to focus on the things you want more of in your life.

So how do you begin to evolve your perceptions?

  1. Shift your mindset. Believe that every act in life is either an expression of love or a call for love.  By believing this, we can better understand and have compassion towards others.  While this may seem difficult to comprehend at first, you will be able to change your perceptions, which will allow you to stop someone elses's behavior from building resentment in you.

  2. Make a list of what or whom you need to forgive.  This may include yourself!  Remember that forgiving doesn’t change the past or what happened, nor do you need to communicate this to the person for whom you are holding resentment, but it will free you to change your present and future.

Now that you have identified and documented where you need forgiveness in your life, you may feel stuck on how to actually act on it.  Know that the steps to forgiveness can be difficult and may take some time, but realize that practicing forgiveness is a lifelong lesson and one we must work on continuously. Know that it will get easier as you practice it.

The below Namaste practice will assist you in the act of forgiveness:

Namaste – The divine in me recognizes and honors the divine in you.
When we are struggling with forgiving another person, we can find a way to connect to the spirit in that person. That will help to realize that their behavior is separate from their soul. Building this different type of connection will help us to practice forgiveness.

Liberating yourself through forgiveness will allow you to set yourself free from the weight of the world.  It will provide you with the energy you need to bring the good into your life and achieve your dreams.

Great job!  You have completed the Bridging Phase of the
Building Blocks of ManifestationThe building block, which takes us into the Building Phase, is to Listen to the Still, Small Voice.
